Judges are supposed to rise above personal bias and prejudice. Many don’t.
When I was a baby lawyer, I naively believed that judges who took an oath would be wise and fair. That was decades ago. Each year I have practiced law my respect for the judiciary has gone down. At this point it cannot get much lower.
