The Meaning of America

Friends –
We must  recognize that as a nation we  are at war. Our enemy is a virus. In order to win this war we must have leadership and  a plan of attack.

First, we must have accurate information. Lying politicians and  those  who perpetuate their lies, hamper our chances for victory. We must insist on the truth.  Anthony Fauci, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (N.I.A.I.D.), says

The earliest a vaccine would be deployable, is “in a year to a year and a half, no matter how fast you go.”

Second, as it will take time to develop a vaccine, we must utilize all possible measures to limit the spread of this virus. Right now it’s out of control. If we act intelligently, we can bring it under control. That will take time and a coordinated effort by  government, health agencies, business and the public. We must be united in this fight.

Third, this is an international crisis. The virus makes no distinction between its victims

nationality.  We are all under attack. In order to win this fight  we must work with our allies and others toward the shared goal of defeating this virus.

Finally, if we gain control and limit the spread of the virus we will buy time to develop a vaccine. If we do these things, we will win this war; We must win this war. Victory is our only option.
